Exposed Brick Theatre will be workshopping the first act of a new play by Alex Barreto Hathaway, called Vikingos of Muchasnota. The play is a rude comedy about Latin people struggling to get by in the land of Vikings. Who would you become if the world got flipped up-side-down for a day? This lusty romp laughs at our misery, turns fools into Queens, and makes fun of how far we’ve come (or how little, rather) since the Viking age. The play draws from Norse myth, Commedia Dell’arte, and Latinamerican street performances.

Vikingos of Muchasnota is part of Exposed Brick Theatre’s Through Our Eyes play reading series for the development of 8 new plays commissioned in 2020. The virtual showing of Act One of Vikingos of Muchasnota will be livestreamed on Saturday, November 13th at 1:30pm CT.
